Montague School proudly acknowledges the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is located. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community.
We honour the Bunurong people’s deep connection to this land, their rich cultural heritage, and their ongoing stewardship of Country. We also recognise them as the first educators, whose knowledge and teachings continue to inspire. We recognise the importance of preserving and caring for this land for future generations.
Our school is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment, celebrating the significant contributions of Indigenous Australians to our shared history, culture, and identity. We are dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
Together, we strive to learn from the past, engage with the present, and build a future rooted in unity, respect, and understanding.
