For almost a century, Montague School has been at the leading edge of program development for students with mild intellectual disability.
We believe that every child and young person, no matter their background or circumstance, deserves the best chance to succeed in work and in life.
Montague School is a community that promotes wellbeing, safety and positive relationships so our students can reach their full potential.
We value every student, celebrate their unique abilities and recognise every achievement. Inclusion and independence are embedded within our learning programs and school routines.
We believe that each student has untapped potential and teach students to believe in their own ability to grow and succeed. Together, we make learning come alive.
At Montague School, we respectfully acknowledge the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community.
We recognise the enduring connection of the Bunurong people to this land, their rich cultural heritage, and their profound spiritual relationship with Country. We acknowledge the importance of caring for and nurturing the land, as custodians of future generations.
As members of the Montague School community, we are committed to fostering an environment of mutual respect and cultural diversity. We honour the contributions of Indigenous Australians to our nation’s rich history, culture, and identity, and we strive to uphold the values of equity and inclusion in all aspects of our school life.
Together, let us walk forward in the spirit of learning, acknowledging the past, embracing the present, and working towards a shared future of unity and respect.
