We can create our own characters and write our own script, if properly taught: In a very real sense...human beings create themselves' and school can be stage on which children work through the plot, rehearse their roles, learn the cues, create social functions, try out their ideal selves for size, play hero parts which demonstrate their capability for greatness.

Connecting Knowledge & Skills
At Montague School we address the needs of young people with an intellectual disability who are prone to falling through the cracks of a traditional school setting. We provide a very structured, personal, planned approach to their education and prepare them for life beyond school. Our team includes teachers, teaching assistants, youth workers, counsellors, psychologists, special educators, as well as other allied health professionals.
The principles that underpin our practice of teaching, knowledge and learning are designed to be enduring, challenging and connected. These principles are founded on strong, positive and supportive relationships.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners, the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, as the original custodians of this land who have lived here for thousands of years. We respect their relationship with the land and are committed to caring for this place and those who come here now and in the future.
